When you look at something that far enough, a few hundred feet perhaps, you will see a kind of white haze, especially in a humid environment. If you look at faraway mountains, this becomes very apparent. You can use this in a painting or drawing by reducing contrasts for distant objects. The colors also appears "washed out".<br /><br />On Youtube:<br /><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/qIrfcszirfs"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/qIrfcszirfs" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object><br /><br /><br />For all of you Mac lovers (.mp4):<br /><center> <a rel="enclosure" href="http://blip.tv/file/get/RobertTurenne-Perspective3ContrastAndColor285.mp4" onclick="window.popup_player_722043 = window.open('http://blip.tv/file/715952/?skin=popup&file_type=mpeg4','post_722043','toolbar=no,scrollbars=no,directories=no,resizable=yes,width=360,height=305,top=20,left=20,location=no,menubar=no,status=yes,'); return false;"><img src="http://blip.tv/file/get/RobertTurenne-Perspective3ContrastAndColor285.mp4.jpg" /></a> <br /> <a rel="enclosure" href="http://blip.tv/file/get/RobertTurenne-Perspective3ContrastAndColor285.mp4" onclick="window.popup_player_722043 = window.open('http://blip.tv/file/715952/?skin=popup&file_type=mpeg4','post_722043','toolbar=no,scrollbars=no,directories=no,resizable=yes,width=360,height=305,top=20,left=20,location=no,menubar=no,status=yes,'); return false;">Click To Play</a> </center><br /><br />And for the Windows followers:<br /><center> <a rel="enclosure" href="http://blip.tv/file/get/RobertTurenne-Perspective3ContrastAndColor413.wmv" onclick="window.popup_player_722043 = window.open('http://blip.tv/file/715952/?skin=popup&file_type=wmv','post_722043','toolbar=no,scrollbars=no,directories=no,resizable=yes,width=360,height=305,top=20,left=20,location=no,menubar=no,status=yes,'); return false;"><img src="http://blip.tv/file/get/RobertTurenne-Perspective3ContrastAndColor413.wmv.jpg" /></a> <br /> <a rel="enclosure" href="http://blip.tv/file/get/RobertTurenne-Perspective3ContrastAndColor413.wmv" onclick="window.popup_player_722043 = window.open('http://blip.tv/file/715952/?skin=popup&file_type=wmv','post_722043','toolbar=no,scrollbars=no,directories=no,resizable=yes,width=360,height=305,top=20,left=20,location=no,menubar=no,status=yes,'); return false;">Click To Play</a> </center>Roberthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06803330254576745757noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5930801424510689201.post-62102664222399733992008-03-04T05:47:00.000-08:002008-03-04T06:03:02.547-08:00Perspective 2: Using ColorCertain colors are interpreted by the brain in such a way that the items they're painted on appear to be placed further away.
